Kimonos have been trying to get into our wardrobes for the past year, but until this season they hadn't been successful.
In 2013 we saw them on the catwalk:
This season they are hitting it big, it's an item that takes the centrestage, and by combining it with basic clothes you can really bring it into play. Celebrities are wearing them at day events just as much as night events: Wear short kimonos in the day, in floral or ethnic print, choose one with fringing for a boho look. Team them with shorts, a basic T-shirt and some Kate wedges from the Brako collection and show off during the summer.
Starting from the top to the left these shoes are : 1652 Kate Aquamarine, 1653 Kate Leather, 1654 Kate Maize and 1655 Kate Beige
If you want to wear it at night, we recommend simple balck or white kimonos or with delicate prints like flowers with orange and reds like you can see in the image below. You only need some legging or skinny jeans and a plain top to make sure all the attention is on the kimono. Shoes from the Anatomic collection like 6023 Dana Black and 6107 Minthy Black are ideal for a party look.
