We start the new year reinventing our wardrobe and what better way than adding flair to that old forgotten black blazer.
Sequins played the lead role during the holidays and we can still use them from day to day as long as it's not too over the top.
We only need:
- A black blazer, or any plain colour.
- An old sequin dress that you're never going to put on again, or you can buy sequined fabric, from a haberdashery.
- Scissors
- Pins, needle and thread.
Do you have everything? Let's go.
Measure the back part of the blazer and cut the same measurement from the sequined fabric. You can even leave it a bit longer to make a tail and add movement to the blazer.
Some advice, leave an edge of black at the neck to give it a bit of style.
Sew the sequined fabric onto the blazer using large stitches, using the same colour as the blazer, along all of the edges. And there you have it, it's that good.
Another option is adding sequins to other parts of your clothes.
We'll leave you with some images to inspire you. Which one will you go for?
