Facial beauty
Those funny things that we have above our eyes are a major factor in our beauty. They help frame the face. So if we don’t take care of them, they won’t take care of us.
Follow these pointers on how to keep them on side. With eyebrows, there are 2 factors to consider, the shape and the technique.
First we’re going to look at the shape.
1.1 - Straight brows: With eyebrows in a horizontal shape and as the name suggests they make the face look shorter and rounder.
2.2 - S-shape: These give a professional aspect and goes perfectly with round or square faces.
3.3 - Soft shape: It's similar to the S-shape, but a bit more subtle.
4.4 - Sharp angle: These make the face look good and gives a youthful touch.
5.5 - Rounded brows: This shape helps to soften out other stronger features of the face.
Technique.
Waxing can be quite harmful to the sensitive skin so close to your eyes. It is also quite painful. However, it’s always best to go to a professional for such a delicate area. They will talk to you about the shape you want before they start.
Threading – is an ancient technique. But it has become more popular recently. It’s where cotton threads are twisted then rolled over the hairs, plucking them out as is passes. This method gives excellent control to the technician and is not generally painful.
Plucking is the easiest and cheapest method to do alone at home, with plenty of light and a good pair of tweezers. Always pluck the hairs in the direction of growth. Take a break every once and a while to check the progress in the mirror.
One thing that can be said for any of these techniques is that you should never remove the hairs from the top of the eyebrow. This is because when we remove hairs from the root we can never be certain of how or when they will grow back.
My top tip is the first time you shape your eyebrows, go with a professional. You can then use this base to simply maintain them at home.
